About Us

AFNO was founded to help rebuild Kibbutz Nir Oz, a community that was devastated by the Hamas terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023.

We set out to facilitate and provide financial and programmatic support from U.S.- based donors to help the community develop plans to clear the existing kibbutz site and construct the new community.

While redevelopment is underway, the community will also use the donations to maintain their community through projects, events, and educational trips for members of all ages who have been displaced.

Additionally, the donations will help support trauma therapy for survivors of the attacks, families of victims, families of returned/existing hostages.

AFNO has filed an application with the IRS to be recognized as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code to which gifts eligible for treatment as charitable contributions may be made.
